SUMMARY:Ladies' Meet and Eat
DESCRIPTION:The ladies of the parish will be meeting at Holy Rood Church on Monday evening from 7-9 pm; this month they will have the opportunity to make a crochet heart.  All ladies are welcome; the charge is £2 per person and there will be cake and good company.  If you would like to go and have a size 4 crochet hook and some double knitting wool do take them along although that is not essential.  Please don’t worry if you can’t crochet either; there will be the opportunity to learn!  Please contact Lyn Baines at lynda.baines@btinternet.com if you would like to attend.

SUMMARY:Rowan Godel Trio
DESCRIPTION:Rowan Godel has worked extensively with some of the biggest names in folk music having recorded and toured with Oysterband and The Levellers as well as being an integral part of John Jones’ Reluctant Ramblers. \nWith Rowan on vocals and guitar\, she will be joined on stage by multi-instrumentalists Benji Kirkpatrick and Tim Cotterell.  This promises once again to be an evening of exceptional musical entertainment provided by this trio of talented musicians. \nTim Cotterell is a multi-instrumentalist playing both the violin and the mandolin family of instruments.  A member of McDermott’s Two Hours\, he has also collaborated with Nick Burbridge to release the critically acclaimed album\, Gathered. \nBenji Kirkpatrick is an English folk singer and musician\, who plays guitar\, bouzouki\, mandolin and tenor banjo. A son of folk musicians John Kirkpatrick and Sue Harris\, he was brought up in Shropshire. Previously a member of Bellowhead and the Seth Lakeman band\, he now performs as a solo artist and also as a member of Faustus

SUMMARY:Unplug the Wood
DESCRIPTION:Unplugthewood Holybourne is an acoustic play-along session which takes place at the village hall every second Thursday (general elections permitting )\, from 7.30 to 9.30 pm.\nIt is led by Holybourne residents Mike and Caroline Hayllor.  Although the majority who attend play ukulele\, any acoustic instrument\, stringed\, wind or otherwise is welcome.\nWe have a projected songbook of around 650 songs\, which are laid out in an easy format for everyone to be able to play and sing along.\nAll ages and abilities are welcome.
