March 2025 Quiz Night

The trustees are beyond pleased to be able to announce that you helped us make a profit of £620.58 at our quiz last Saturday evening 22nd March. Thank you so much to everyone who came and supported us! Unfortunately, we have missed the deadline for the Village Magazine to let everyone know about this… but there is an article in the forthcoming magazine about the evening itself
Sadly, it would seem that we need to explain to the people who brought in their own alcohol why this means the village hall’s fundraising has been impacted in the next magazine article…

the real ale.. If you ever get a chance to buy a Triple fff Brewery beer and support these guys – who have been fantastic supporters of the Village Hall for about 20 years – please do!
Thanks also for your feedback forms, which will be discussed at the next trustee’s meeting. A couple of early points… we’re not sure how we can get more young people in – that’s up to them, and quizzes might not be their thing – and quite how “we should have brought more food with us” is helpful feedback we’ll need to talk about!
But again, a massive “Thank you” to all who supported us! We really could not do it without you!

Facilities

Holybourne Village Hall provides capacity for up to 60 people, has a fully fitted kitchen and toilet facilities and is available for hire.

The Hall is situated in the centre of the village just a few yards up Church Lane from London Road.

The china, glass and cutlery in the kitchen cupboards are available for use at no extra cost.

Hirers must ensure that the duration of their booking is sufficient for any necessary preparation/setting-up in advance and for clearing up afterwards, as strictly no free access to the Hall cannot be given for these purposes.
