There is a growing group of home educating families in the local area of Alton, Bordon and surrounding villages who offer support, friendship and encouragement to one another.
There are no formally organised regular events (although this may be changing as more people join) but everyone in the group is welcome to organise activities, meet ups and educational sessions at local venues. Recently, we have had a talk by a member of the local Bat Group, a visit to Haslemere Museum to study the Egyptians and Romans (on different days!), nature walks and a ‘Fire & Knives Forest School’ session amongst other things, as well as Holybourne playground being visited often.
Farnham also has an active group which meets every other week to which all home educating families are welcome and some events are shared between the two groups.
