Holybourne Honeys WI

Holybourne Honeys WI

Holybourne WI started in 1936 and apart from a break during the 1970s has been part of village life ever since. We are part of the community, but we also have members from other villages and nearby Alton.

Recently we have changed our name to reflect our brand new look and zest for life. We are now the Holybourne Honeys WI.

We are a relatively small group with ‘big ideas’. The use of our village hall gives us a great space to hold our meetings on a range of themes from American themed dancing, craft and foodie evenings to learning about adventurous and interesting people.

Holybourne Honeys like to be spontaneous and arrange ‘pop up’ events. These have included craft sessions, local garden tours and pub visits.

New members and visitors of all ages are always welcome.

We meet on the third Thursday of the month in Holybourne Village Hall at 7.30.

As we are a small WI we ask visitors to pay £4/£5 which helps pay for our events and hall hire but will often include delicious homemade cakes and perhaps a glass of wine during the evening.

Our programme can also be found on the Hampshire County Federation of Women’s Institutes (HCFWI) website and on noticeboards in the village.
