Unplugthewood Holybourne is an acoustic play-along session which takes place at the village hall every second Thursday (general elections permitting ), from 7.30 to 9.30 pm.
It is led by Holybourne residents Mike and Caroline Hayllor. Although the majority who attend play ukulele, any acoustic instrument, stringed, wind or otherwise is welcome.
We have a projected songbook of around 650 songs, which are laid out in an easy format for everyone to be able to play and sing along.
All ages and abilities are welcome. Everyone is very friendly and happy to share musical tips and tricks . even if you cant play at all , you will come away with new knowledge every time.
It is not a club as such, but people are asked to pay £3 when they attend – tea and coffee are provided (and sometimes biscuits) free of further charge , or people may bring their own refreshments.
